Anthony Espinola
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Welcome!
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) professional and MA in Counselling Psychology student under clinical supervision, offering a warm, empathetic space for us to freely explore new perspectives on your emotions, thoughts, patterns, and past experiences, providing support and guidance along the therapeutic journey. From anxiety, worry, depression, and self-doubt, I understand the challenges when navigating through a low period with mental health.
My path to becoming a therapist was largely inspired by meeting therapists, and seeing the impact of the therapeutic process on people. People when dealing with emotional trauma and dysregulation can quickly become focused on that emotion, and it becomes all-encompassing for that person’s perspective. Dealing with extreme emotional dysregulation can make us feel estranged, deficient, and isolated from everyone around us. Having someone who can help you navigate through difficult times can help clear the path, and lead to a more self-secure sense of self. At these moments, we’re at our most vulnerable, and in most need for the right guidance, at the right time. Seeing different perspectives leading to different outcomes for different people, shining a light on their individual needs and uniqueness as a person, deeply inspired me on a human level to pursue this work.
Who I am
Growing up as a half-asian, half-white person, I’ve dealt with personal issues regarding to racial discrimination, harassment, and continued social isolation. This likely induced or worsened feelings of insecurity and inadequacy as a person, marking a significant point of my development. In hindsight, I see how my reaction to those past events have influenced my actions and beliefs, where at any turn I could be made vulnerable again, acting to prevent or counteract any threat to expose that vulnerability, but through trust and being vulnerable with the right people, I’ve managed to grow and explore far more in-depth regarding who I am, beyond the veil of perceived social norms and biases. Dealing with COVID for me was also isolating, but in equal parts an opportunity for me to reflect on who I really want to be, what I value, and what interests me as a person. I’ve found myself deeply interested in the past, notably how people in the past in part reflect us today, but with different societal structures and resources available to them that informs their behaviour and actions. It mirrors so much about how we grow within our lives, and seeing that work across generations has been a major inspiration.
Who I work with: I work 1-1 sessions online with anyone 16+, including adults, who feel that they may need help navigating through difficult times, including but not limited to: - Emotional invalidation, boundary crossing, and interpersonal conflict - social gentrification, life transitions, and feeling lost or stuck in life - LGBTQ+ issues, invalidation, and social isolation - Racial discrimination and cultural challenges - Past or Childhood trauma and grief experiences - self-worth, insecurity, or anxiety - Men’s mental health issues
My Approach: Depending on your needs, I draw from various therapeutic modalities to find what works best for you. This includes: - Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), a focus on observing your thoughts as separate, whilst remaining in the present, and building awareness of your personal values and goals in life. - Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), an open and client-focused model where you are understood as the expert in your experience, who you are, and what you will do, and to better explore your needs with open and honest empathy from the therapist. - Psychodynamic Therapy, an uncovering of the past, family dynamics, and previous experiences, as a method to inform how our present self is affected by our past, and how we can remain aware of it.
Regardless of what approach is used, I will always incorporate empathy, curiosity, and a space without assumptions. Your story is unique, and what might have served to protect or benefit you in the past may potentially be hurting you today. I want to explore what experiences you’ve gone through, and what brought you to the therapeutic journey.

Expressive Arts Therapist | Educator | Multilingual Practitioner
Available in English, French, and Italian
I’m an Expressive Arts Therapist and longtime educator who is endlessly inspired by creativity, connection, and the ways we navigate life’s twists and turns. My own experiences with childhood trauma shaped my path early on as it planted a steady calling to sit beside others in their healing and help them discover the strength that lives within. After 27 years in the classroom, I followed that calling and trained in expressive arts therapy at The CREATE Institute. It’s been a joy-filled journey ever since, one that lets me hold space for people as they transform pain into possibility through creative expression and authentic connection. I’m trauma-informed and relational at heart. That means we move at your pace, with choice, collaboration, and safety at the center. Alongside expressive arts, I draw on gentle somatic awareness and nervous-system (polyvagal-informed) practices to support regulation, self-compassion, and resilience. I speak English, French, and Italian, so we can connect in the language that feels most natural to you. In our time together, we might explore drawing, movement, poetry, collage, sound, or writing, whatever creative doorway feels right in the moment. No artistic experience is needed, just a willingness to be curious. It’s not about making something “perfect”; it’s about expressing what’s real and discovering more of who you are along the way. Conversation itself can be a creative and healing space, so our work may simply begin there.Talking together is also an important part of the process, and sometimes words themselves are the doorway we use. What matters most is finding the path that feels true to you and your unique way of healing. However we approach it, the focus is always on what supports your personal process.. I bring curiosity and playfulness to this work. I aim to create a relaxed, welcoming space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported, especially if you’re carrying the impacts of childhood trauma, navigating anxiety or stress, moving through life transitions, or rebuilding self-worth. If you’re ready to tap into your onw path and therapeutic journey and see where your imagination might lead. Let’s begin, one step at a time, no pressure, lots of curiosity.
>“It’s not about making art — it’s about making meaning. Come as you are, and let’s explore.”

A Bit About Me
Living in Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos, the United States, Canada, and Qatar has shaped who I am today. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for diversity and for the many ways culture and environment can shape people, their values, and how they move through the world. It also sparked my love for travel, and I hope to visit many more places.
Outside of work, I prioritize spending time with my loved ones. I enjoy exploring philosophy, playing the piano, and trying to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
