Who I Work With
I support individuals facing a variety of challenges, such as:
• Anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or burnout
• Depression, sadness, or loss of motivation
• Chronic illness, pain, and health-related challenges
• Life transitions, immigration, or cultural displacement
• Relationship challenges, loneliness, or self-esteem concerns
My Approach to Therapy
My style is client-centered, flexible, and evidence-based. I tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals, drawing from approaches such as:
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for shifting unhelpful thought patterns
• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation and balance
• Somatic-based strategies to reconnect mind and body and manage stress
Together, we’ll create a space where you feel heard and supported. Therapy may involve exploring patterns, developing coping strategies, or reconnecting with strengths and parts of yourself that may feel unheard. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, clear, and empowered.
A Bit About Me
Living in Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos, the United States, Canada, and Qatar has shaped who I am today. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for diversity and for the many ways culture and environment can shape people, their values, and how they move through the world. It also sparked my love for travel, and I hope to visit many more places.
Outside of work, I prioritize spending time with my loved ones. I enjoy exploring philosophy, playing the piano, and trying to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

I grew up in a close-knit Newfoundland community where storytelling, connection, and looking out for one another were simply part of everyday life. Those early experiences continue to shape how I show up as a therapist today, grounded, relational, and deeply attentive to the stories people carry with them.
Before entering the counselling field, I spent many years working in education, supporting children, youth, families, and colleagues through periods of growth, stress, and change. That work taught me that behaviour and emotions rarely exist in isolation; they are shaped by relationships, environments, and lived experiences. It also reinforced how powerful it can be to feel truly heard and understood.
In my work with clients, I aim to create a calm, supportive, and ethically grounded space where you can slow down, reflect, and bring what feels heavy without pressure to have everything figured out.
Whether you’re experiencing immediate distress or navigating long-standing challenges, my approach is collaborative and person-centred, guided by curiosity, compassion, and respect for your pace.
I believe healing and growth happen through connection, meaning-making, and developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns, while remaining mindful of how personal histories, community, and cultural context shape our experiences. I strive to honour these influences by walking alongside you with empathy, respect, and cultural awareness.
I focus on supporting individuals as they navigate stress, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and the emotional impact of school, work, or caregiving roles. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you and focus on what feels most important.
I draw from evidence-informed approaches that include:
-
Person-Centered Therapy, where your voice, story, and lived experience guide the work
-
Relational and strengths-based approaches that focus on building safety, connection, and empowerment
-
Solution-focused strategies that support practical next steps and present-day coping
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which helps you notice and shift unhelpful thinking and behaviour patterns.
Outside of therapy, I value time spent outdoors, being in nature, reading a good book, and engaging in creative pursuits like sewing. These moments of grounding and creativity mirror what I encourage in therapy: finding steadiness, curiosity, and care in everyday life.
If you’re looking for a therapist who offers a steady presence, values relationship and reflection, and understands the importance of community and story, I would be honoured to work alongside you.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, low self-worth, or feeling stuck in old patterns, I’m here to support you at your own pace.
Therapy, to me, is a collaborative journey. I won’t tell you what to do or who to be instead, we’ll work together to make sense of your inner world and build tools for healing, connection, and clarity.
